Comprehensive Assessment
Your Physiotherapist or Biokineticist will perform a thorough assessment on you consisting of an interview, as well as a series of objective tests. This is done in order to accurately determine the cause of your pain or dysfunction and treat you accordingly.
Rehabilitation
Post-operative rehabilitation is the process that takes place after surgery in order to help restore joint and muscle range of motion, muscle strength and endurance, cardiovascular strength and endurance, and overall function.
Classes
There are many benefits to engaging in exercise classes. We offer a variety of classes aimed at improving your overall function in a constructive, facilitated and safe environment.
Sport Specific Conditioning
As Biokineticists we can design sport specific conditioning programs for athletes in order to help them better their performance or to return to sport following an injury.
Bike Fit

Vitality Assessments
The Vitality Fitness Assessments give you an indication of how fit you are. You will get a comprehensive report showing your level of fitness and areas that need to be improved.
Gait & Running Analysis
This is an in-depth assessment of your biomechanics while running or walking to improve running efficiency and to help decrease the risk of injuries.
Corporate Services
This is a personalised assessment performed on the workspace that an individual operates in, in order to improve productivity and comfort.
Lung Function
A lung function test is a noninvasive, objective test and is also called a Spirometry. A Spirometry test is used to screen for diseases that affect the lungs such as COPD, asthma or exercise induced asthma.
Neurological Conditions
Neurological physiotherapy involves the treatment of people with movement and function disorders that have originated from problems within the body’s nervous and neuromuscular system.

Lymph Drainage
Lymphoedema, which is the swelling of a body part that is caused by an abnormal accumulation of fluid, is treated by Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT), which must be performed by a trained professional.
Craniosacral Therapy
Craniosacral therapy is a gentle, hands-on treatment that helps relieve tension and tightness that can cause pain and dysfunction. Treatment is aimed at ensuring optimal activity of the craniosacral rhythm.
Dry Needling
Dry needling is a procedure in which a sterile, single use, fine needle is inserted into a myofascial trigger point (a ‘knot’ in your muscle) in order to help decrease pain and improve function.
Traction
a technique we use to help open up the intervertebral joint spaces. This is done with a traction machine which uses pulleys to distract the individual intervertebral joint.
Taping
Taping is often used in addition to treatment from your Physiotherapist for stability by restricting movement of injured joints, soft tissue compression to reduce swelling and support anatomical structures.
Cybex Testing
A Cybex test is used to measure the maximum strength of a joint through its available range of motion. The results are analysed and interpreted by our Biokineticists.

Rehabilitation specific to concussion is of vital importance in order to ensure that you return to optimal function within an appropriate time frame.
Shockwave Treatment
Shockwave therapy is a non-invasive treatment that uses a series of low energy acoustic wave pulses that are directly applied to an injury through a person’s skin via a gel medium.
Electrotherapy
Using gentle and non-invasive devices designed to deliver customised levels of electrical stimulation to your body’s nerves, muscles, or tendons, your physiotherapist can harness the power of electrotherapy to promote treat injuries, promote healing, and offer pain relief.
Chronic Pain Treatment
Experiencing pain for an extended time causes changes within our nervous system increasing our sensitivity to certain stimuli. This can result in experiencing pain without a physiological explanation. We use specialised treatment techniques to decrease this increased sensitivity.

Visceral manipulation is often thought to be the missing link in recurring musculoskeletal pain, postural abnormalities and biomechanical dysfunctions.
