About

Michelle Willenberg is a passionate and dedicated biokineticist who completed her undergraduate degree in Sports Development at the University of Johannesburg in 2014 and her BSc (Honours) in Biokinetics at the University of the Witwatersrand in 2015. She completed her internship at Samantha Dunbar Inc. in 2016 and now plays a key role in the practice as a supervisor and mentor to biokinetics interns, fostering a culture of growth and professionalism in the field.

Michelle has a special interest in orthopaedic rehabilitation, with a focus on lower back and pelvic dysfunction. She has also completed a Pilates course, which deepened her understanding of movement science. By integrating Pilates principles into her practice, Michelle uses tailored movement strategies to optimise muscle function and rehabilitation.

Her approach goes beyond treating symptoms—Michelle believes in addressing the root cause of dysfunction while considering the person as a whole. She is dedicated to empowering her patients with education and awareness, helping them understand how movement patterns and compensations affect their pain and overall well-being.

In her sessions, Michelle encourages her patients to take control of their bodies and embrace an active role in their health. Her goal is to help each individual live their best life, under their terms, with a body that supports and sustains their ambitions.
